A Hearty Farewell At Shipbourne School |

|
Our thanks go to the staff, students and parents of Shipbourne Primary School who have kindly donated their retiring collection from the Year 6 leaver’s assembly to the Myotubular Trust. Teacher, Karen Hutton, told us, ‘I am a teacher at a tiny village school in Kent , we have only 56 children and 7 staff: a small school with a big heart. Earlier this year, I had a fantastic day walking the 20mile Thames route in aid of Myotubular Trust. I shared this experience with my class, who were more impressed than I deserved, and with colleagues and parents, who very kindly contributed to my sponsorship total. Every year we celebrate with the year 6 leavers via an end of year church service. The school very strongly felt that they would like to continue supporting this worthwhile charity by donating the service collection to the Myotubular Trust. We know that every pound counts so, though our donation was no fortune, we know that this very generous gift from friends and parents will still make a difference and will mean a lot.’ Thank you everybody!
