On Sunday 4th July, 11 year old Hannah cycled 45 miles along the Thames Towpath, in memory of her friend Tom, in order to raise research funds for the Trust.

Hannah was disappointed that she wasn’t around to join her mum, Katie, for the 20 mile Thames Towpath walk in May and so took it upon herself to arrange her own event.

Accompanied by her dad, Gary, Hannah cycled the 20 mile route between Hampton Court and Battersea Park – in both directions!! As if that wasn’t enough, they then cycled an extra 5 miles, covering a total of 45 miles.

Hannah’s mum, Katie, told us, ‘ Hannah really enjoyed it - Gary called me a few times saying it was too long and that they might have to cut it short but Hannah was determined to do more than the 42 miles she'd planned and so they did. She fell asleep as soon as they got in the car though!’

Hannah has raised an amazing £220.51 in sponsorship and donations are still coming in! Congratulations Hannah and thank you so much for your tremendous support.
