East Portlemouth Lunch For Will

Linda and Andy Coton know how to put together a good party, and on a warm summer's afternoon in East Portlemouth, South Devon, they organised a very special lunch for close friends and neighbours, to support the Myotubular Trust and in particular a family friend, Will; a young baby born with myotubular myopathy.

The community of East Portlemouth thought this was not only a great opportunity to catch up and enjoy one another's company in their village hall, but were also interested in the work of the Trust; and raised a staggering £711 to help with our research to find a treatment or cure for myotubular myopathy.

Linda and Andy are no strangers to charity, having helped Romanian orphans for several years in the past, and more recently helping to raise funds to build their own lovely community hall in the village as a meeting place for friends and neighbours.

The Trust would like to extend their immense gratitude, not only to Linda and Andy for their inspirational fundraising and kind generosity, but also to the other members of this warm and very caring community.
